Page 1: Canberra moves closer to its first gas-fired electricity generator, with a
consortium lodging plans for a $2 billion world-class data centre for Hume. China ignores
Rudd's appeal to address human rights abuses in Tibet, warning foreign governments to
keep out of its internal affairs.

Page 2: Almost a third of the people who presented at a Canberra hospital department
in the last quarter of 2007 had to wait more than eight hours before getting a bed.

Page 3: Future of the proposed 4,500-home Tralee development in doubt after the Federal
Court clears the way for Canberra Airport's noise forecast to be endorsed. Most Australian
men are fat but only half of them know it, says new research.

World: Robert Mugabe is implementing a de facto military coup to keep himself in power
but will be ousted with the help of other African countries, says Opposition Leader Morgan
Tsvangirai (Harare). At least 54 Burmese migrants suffocated in a cold storage container
