Sud--Chemie Found Guilty of Patent Infringement.(Brief Article)

A Houston jury has found S[ddot{u}]d-Chemie's U.S. unit, S[ddot{u}]d-Chemie Inc. (Louisville, KY), guilty of infringing on a Southern Clay Products paint and colors patent. A judge will rule on a fine within two weeks, which S[ddot{u}]d-Chemie says could be up to $20.9 million. S[ddot{u}]d-Chemie's shares suspended trading on June 8, 2000 as a result of the ruling.
